Freedom is a Misnomer
let’s talk definition confusion about this idea called freedom as it relates to what humans actually want.
Humans prefer bondage over freedom. It’s a misconception about the concept of freedom that makes this sound off; in that it doesn’t really exist, and even if it did would equal not much more than isolation and alienation.
Humans thrive better when they are subject to each other in community. Not subject to a state or jobs or corporations or gods that use them as a vehicle for profit or power, but in connection to others where their service through their deeds defines the root of their value.
Humans do prefer liberty, but only within the context of sharing need with others. To be completely free of this would be to lack purpose and reason to exist. Freedom as a concept really only means the lack of authoritarian control, it doesn’t mean being without the obligations and fulfillment of others needs in collective bondage to each other.
Humans need negative and positive feedback, consequences and costs, benefits and rewards, given and taken by their peers, tribe, and family. We do not do well in isolation and without constraints.
Freedom is a sales pitch sold to you by your owners to keep you divided from each other. Divided from the collective power that would give you a kind of fulfillment Freedom™ never can.
